Having overall good health is key to having a healthy heart. The heart is responsible for pumping out blood rich in nutrients throughout the body. This organ is a vital part of the cardiovascular system as it also supplies oxygen while removing toxins and wastes from your body and can even aid in the success of your immune system.

Having cardiovascular disease can increase your chance of feeling depressed. There are many ways to lower your risk of cardiovascular disease along with treatments.

There is a correlation between heart health and mental well-being. Research also shows that poor heart health can be associated with dementia.
